"Special Stock" is the name given to a group of vehicles with different traffic functions. The carriages are State Cars, Medical Test cars, the Clearance Van, the Dynamometer Car and such. "Special Stock" was a category applied for providing totals to quarterly rolling stock figures. I have used the heading loosely to group "one off" and 'named' carriages.
