Two _AE_ cars were converted to "Restaurant" Cars and both entered service in late 1955. These cars were out of service for many years, at least from the late 1940's.
The two cars were named Kiewa and Moyne. This was the second use of Kiewa on a car. The first Kiewa was a Sleeper/Diner that ran 1911 to 1929.
In 1961 the cars were reclassed to _BG_.
