On 1st December 1923, the Victorian Railways took over the Deniliquin & Moama Railway Company. Amongst the fixed wheel stock aquired were four flat wagons.
These wagons were coded NK and were numbered 1 to 4.
Reason for the NK coding is not known. The letter 'N' was a prefix assigned for ballast wagons and 'K' a letter to denote flat wagons. Most of the D&MR stock had a prefix letter 'D' applied some time in the early 1900's. Perhaps the D&M converted some _ND_ ballast wagons for use as flat trucks prior the takeover.
All four wagons were scrapped in March 1925, probably at Bendigo Workshops.
