These wagons were built between 1902 and 1925. The class was numbered 1 to 13.
They could be used for unusual loading, though one of their use was the transporting of locomotive boilers.
In 1962, QB 12 was recoded to QBF 12 for 8 months before being recoded back to QB.
In the mid 1970's they were made more versatile when they were fitted with container brackets to suit 20' ISO containers.
QB 13 became QWF_ 1 in 1961 and numbers 1 to 12 became VWAA in the 1979 recoding
QBF 12 was modified from QB 12 in January 1962. All QB wagons at the time were fitted with 'diamond frame' bogies which originated in the late 1880's.
Traffic is not known. Possibly the change in code may have been because of the change in bogies; cast, roller bearing XB type.
The vehicle returned to QB 12 during September 1962.
