Two cars were issued to traffic in 1893 for the Bendigo line.
The cars were twelve wheelers.
They were placed into traffic as 'Pioneer 1st' and Pioneer 2nd.
Pioneer 1st entered service 30/6/1893. It was fitted with Westinghouse brake and had seating for 64.
In about 1895, if not sooner, the car was fitted with toilets.
In 1921 the car was relettered to _BL_ 12.
As a BL car it ran in the Wirths circus train for many years, 1930's to 1950's.
It was withdrawn in 1962. It ran on historical train trips from 1968, named as "Enterprise".
