For the Joint Stock 'Overland' express train between Melbourne and Adelaide, three cafeteria cars were converted from _BJ_ cars in 1971. The cars retained seating for 34 passengers.
The cars were classed RBJ and were numbered 1, 2 and 3. They were converted from BJ 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
