Twelve were built 1887/1888; twenty one in 1890; twenty nine 1891; six in 1897; seven in 1898; one in 1903; six in 1905; one in 1909.
Car ADAD 14 was destroyed in a collision about 1908. At the time it was still a 45' long car. A replacement was built and placed in service during 1909. The 'new' ADAD car was 57' long.
During 1908/1909 most of these cars were lengthened with additional compartments for the forthcoming suburban electrification project.
The number group was 1 to 82.
In the 1910 recoding the class was relettered to _AC_.
