KS - Scantling Timber Transport
The KS number group was 1 to 7.
KS 1 was converted from _KT_ 320, KS 2 - 6
were converted from _IY_ wagons; between 1957
and 1959. KS 7 was recoded from _IT_ 252 in
1973.
The main traffic was from Orbost to Graham, on the Port Melbourne
line, or to the Newport Workshops sawmill. The timber carried was
packs of scantling timber with lengths to fit the wagon.
The wagons were out of service by the mid 1980's.
