The car 'Perseverance' entered service on the 5th June 1890. It was fitted with two six wheel bogies.
In 1900 the car became the 'Inspection Car'.
The car is shown as being converted to the 'Inspection Car' in 1900. The car ran in service as a 'State Car' also from 1900.
In 1921 the car was modified and became the Norman car.
This car was used as an inspection car for the Railway Commissioners who travelled the network.
