DW - Domestic Water Tank Wagon
In 1961, ten wagons were converted specifically for carrying
domestic water. This was use by rail staff in departmental houses in
dry areas of Victoria. These wagons supplemented _WT_
trucks in this service.
Number group for the wagons was 225 - 234. These numbers are from
the _WT_ Water Truck block.
In the early 1980's, the underframes were in need of replacement.
Several wagons were fitted with _RY_
underframes.
