Due to increasing demand for sawn pine logs, more wagons were sourced for this traffic. Sixteen VQLX container flats were modified by the fitting of stanchions, web straps and winches to become VFCX 101 to 116. This was completed by January 2001. These wagons did not retain their former VQLX numbers. During 2004, further VFCX conversions have been noted, including VFCX 35, 44, 69, 77. It is presumed that these have retained their former VQLX numbers.
