VZCA - Works Flat Wagon
By the 1980's, _QD_ 1 - 4 were used to
transport sleeper discharge equipment.
On sleeper trains, temporary rails between wagons allowed the
machinery to travel the length of the train. The hydraulic equipment
forced sleepers from the wagons to trackside.
In 1988 the vehicles were reclassed to VZCA.
