DS - 'Spirit of Progress' Baggage/Mail Van
In 1939, the van listed as the 'Steel Bulk Mail' van was coded and
numbered to DS 1. This van had been built in 1938 for the 'Spirit of
Progress' broad gauge service between Melbourne and Albury.
In 1956 the van was fitted with a guards section and recoded to
_CS_ 2.
