This small group of tank wagons entered service during 1933/1934. The area of traffic is shown as the 'Melbourne - Geelong' line. What 'Coal Fuel' is has not been determined.
The tanks were numbered 2 to 9, 117 and 147. They were all converted from _WT_ water trucks.
Trucks 117 and 147 were listed as being used for 'Tar Oil' when converted in 1934.
From 1939, the tanks were converted to Fuel Oil, Pintsch Gas Refuse or back to Water Trucks.
Note: for data entry the vehicles are listed as class 'CFT'. However there was no 'CFT' class letter as such and the vehicles were known by the full description 'Coal Fuel Trucks'.
