The car was issued to service in 1907.

It was renamed Loddon in 1910.

It was fitted with electric lighting in 1923.

It was fitted with autocoupler draft gear and transition hooks February 1936.

It was autocoupled June 1936.

In 1969 is was removed from Joint Stock service and was placed into the VR Sleeper car fleet. In September 1969 it became No.10 Sleeper.
